Pilot / Captain – Plattsburgh, New York (KPBG) EMB-110

Description

Wiggins Airways, Inc. seeks an experienced pilot to fly our Company EMB-110 aircraft for Freight Forwarding (cargo) position based in KPBG. Schedule is Monday to Saturday. We seek a professional, safe and customer centric aviator with single pilot, FAR 135 winter operations flight experience; EMB-110 time and / or PT6 time desired. The principal duties of this position are performed in Company aircraft with exposure to various airport hangar and ramp environments. The principal function of the Captain is to pilot Company aircraft in a professional, safe and timely manner in order to help the department achieve annual business goals. The work is performed under the supervision and direction of the Chief Pilot. Starting salary is $35,000 to $40,000 based on experience, with non-taxable per diem, comprehensive benefits package, and employee stock ownership. We are not a member of CASS. Relocation package is negotiable. Pilots must domicile within one hour of assigned base.

Requirements

The position requires comprehensive knowledge and experience as Pilot In Command (PIC) with 1000 hours of PIC time; 2000 hours of total flight time, 500 hours of multi-engine time; US Pilot certification with commercial license with instrument rating and multi-engine rating; two year degree in Aviation field or equivalent education and; any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work. Candidate must possess valid driver's license in accordance with Company and airport policy; successfully complete security, background check, and drug and alcohol testing in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations, Company and airport policy.



Line Service Technician (Part Time - MHT)

Description

Handles aviation petroleum and deicing products and ensures delivery of these products and other aviation service needs, to customer aircraft in a professional, safe and timely manner. Safely operate fuel transport vehicles in accordance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Manchester Airport (MHT), and Wiggins Airways policies and procedures; Service aircraft with fuel; Participate in aircraft deicing activities as vehicle driver or fluid applicator as required; Service aircraft water and lavatory systems as required; Operate aircraft towing and pushback equipment according to safety procedures; Participate at the highest level as a line service team member, supporting co-workers in their duties and providing extra-ordinary service to any Wiggins Airways' customer; Maintain due diligence on all matters of security and safety;
Provide baggage and / or freight handling duties; Receive bulk loads of fuel into proper storage facility; Marshall aircraft into designated parking areas; Provide ground transportation for customers to and from area facilities; Clean internal and external areas of aircraft; General housekeeping duties such as facility cleaning, snow and sand removal, etc.;

Requirements

Graduation from high school or an equivalent program and; Equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to perform the work. Must be able to pass drug & alcohol test and security background check for Manchester/Boston Regional Airport.

Company Benefits

  • INSURANCE
    Group medical, prescription, vision and dental insurance is available to all regular full-time employees, their spouses and children up to age 19 (or 23 if in school). The Company pays approximately 80% of cost. Life insurance, in an amount equal to base wage, is provided to all full-time employees at no cost to the employee. Employees become eligible for insurance benefits approximately 30 days from date of full-time employment. Short Term Disability insurance is provided to all full-time employees at no cost to the employee after nine months of full-time employment.

  • SICK TIME
    Regular full time employees are paid for time lost due to sickness up to 48 hours per calendar year. Sick leave is accrued at the rate of 4 hours per month of service over the calendar year. Unused time may be carried to the next calendar year not to exceed a maximum of 64 hours.

  • VACATION TIME
    In year one of employment, regular full time employees accrue vacation at the rate of 4 hours per month of employment, not to exceed a total of 40 hours. The vacation must be taken during the succeeding calendar year. During the second through ninth calendar years of employment, employees accrue 80 hours of vacation per calendar year. During the tenth through seventeenth calendar years, employees accrue 120 hours of vacation. In the eighteenth calendar year of employment and beyond, employees accrue 160 hours of vacation. Unused vacation time does not carry to the next calendar year.

  • HOLIDAY TIME
    Generally, employees receive nine paid holidays per year. A holiday schedule is issued annually.

  • OVERTIME
    Hourly employees are paid 1
    ½ times the regular rate for work performed in excess of forty hours.

  • EMPLOYEE STOCK OWNERSHIP PLAN (ESOP)
    Wiggins Airways is an employee owned company. When available, stock is distributed to eligible employees. Employees are eligible to participate after completing 1,000 hours in 12 months of service. The ESOP has entry dates of January 1 and July 1 in each Plan Year. The Plan Year is January 1 to December 31. Contributions are made entirely by the Company. Distribution is made equally to all participants based on their salary as a percentage of total salary of all eligible employees.

  • 401(K)
    All employees may participate in the Fidelity 401(K) Plan after 3 months of employment. Contributions are made entirely by the employee.
